Hot Bitumen & Felt
Bitumen is an oil based material that’s commonly applied to roofs in order to bond the roofing membranes, insulation and layers of vapor control materials to a variety of substrates.
Our fully trained team here at MBC Roofing & Building apply hot bitumen to the front of the felt roofing roll which is then unrolled into the hot bitumen, spreading it to give a coating for the full width of the roll. The felt, is usually bonded by three layers, and is bedded with the hot bitumen on top of the roof, this then makes a waterproof system suitable for use on garages, sheds and extensions.

Rubber Roofing
Rubber roofing membrane is commonly used in many low-slope buildings. Rubber roofs can be installed fully adhered or mechanically fixed, with the seams of the rubber roofing system sealed with liquid adhesives or specially formulated industrial tape.
This environmentally friendly system has been used to cover the decking of flat roofs where the product is glued to the decking boards or substrates and can be installed on both new and existing roofs, overlaying the decking of the old roof, provided that it can carry the load of the new roofing system.
